Search Engine Optimization

(SE0) is the process of improving the amount of traffic (visitors) to a web site from search engines or other sites. HTML Hyper Text Markup Language which is used to build websites.

CSS

Cascading Style Sheets. CSS is a coding language used alongside HTML to mainly decorate and control the layout, size and colours of Web pages.

Meta Tags

Elements used to provide data about a Web page. These elements are placed as tags in the head section of an HTML document. Meta Tags are also used to specify the web page description, keywords and any other metadata needed. If you right click on this page, then click view source , you will then be able to see the meta tags.

Keywords

Are the words used around your site and meta tags that search engines use to determine what search terms your site should appear in. This is part of the SEO process.

Flash

Flash has become a very popular method with graphic designers for adding animation and interactivity to web pages. Flash is commonly used to create animation, advertisements, and various web page Flash components.
IMPORTANT Please stay clear of websites built in Flash as search engines don't recognize it.

Java, PHP, Perl

All applications that are used to implement or run entire websites. The most common used today is PHP which can produce dynamic web pages.
